Adding one night on the mountain gives your body time to adapt – and noticeably improves summit comfort on Meru's steep crater ridge. The four-day route is our recommended Meru itinerary for climbers who want the best balance of pace and success.

Wildlife-rich lower forest, Miriakamba and Saddle huts, optional Little Meru hike, then the pre-dawn push to Socialist Peak. A gentler descent day on Day 4 before returning to Arusha – often timed before a Kilimanjaro climb for altitude preparation.
