Privacy policy

1. Who looks after your information

Wild Gaze Safaris Ltd (Iringa, Tanzania) is responsible for personal information you share through our website, WhatsApp, email, phone, or booking forms. Questions are welcome anytime at info@wildgazesafaris.co.tz.

2. What we collect

Only what we need to plan and support your journey, for example:

• Name, email, phone / WhatsApp, and home country
• Travel dates, group size, preferred parks, lodges, and budget range
• Special requests (diet, mobility, celebrations) if you choose to share them
• Passport details when required for park permits, flights, or lodge check-in
• Payment references (we do not store full card numbers on our website)
• Messages you send us, and basic website technical data (browser type, pages visited)

3. Why we use it

We use your information to:

• Prepare quotes and confirm bookings
• Arrange lodges, park fees, guides, and transfers
• Stay in touch before, during, and after your trip
• Improve our website and reply to enquiries faster
• Meet legal or accounting duties where required

We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent mailing lists. Marketing messages are optional — you can opt out anytime.

4. Who we may share with

To deliver your safari we sometimes share only the necessary details with trusted partners, such as:

• Lodges, camps, and hotels on your itinerary
• Park authorities when permits require guest names
• Airlines or transfer providers if we book those for you
• Our guides and operations team
• Payment processors or banks when you pay an invoice

We ask partners to use your details only for your booking. If a tool hosts our email or website (for example a hosting or form service), they process data on our instructions.

5. Cookies & the website

Our site may use simple cookies or similar storage to remember preferences (such as language or theme) and to understand which pages help guests most. You can control cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work if you limit non-essential cookies.

6. How we keep it safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — access limited to our team, secure devices, and careful handling of passports and payment references. No online system is perfect; if we ever learn of a serious incident affecting your data, we will tell you promptly and explain what we are doing.

7. How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as needed to run your trip, handle aftercare, and meet normal accounting or legal requirements. Enquiry messages that do not become bookings are cleared after a reasonable period. You can ask us to delete information that is no longer needed for your trip or the law.

8. Your choices

You can ask us to:

• Share a copy of the personal details we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete details we no longer need
• Stop non-essential marketing messages

Write to info@wildgazesafaris.co.tz or WhatsApp +255 754 893 717. We will respond kindly and as quickly as we can.

9. Children

Our site is aimed at adults planning travel. When families book, parents or guardians provide children’s details needed for lodges and parks. We do not knowingly collect children’s data for marketing.

10. International guests

Most of our guests travel from outside Tanzania. Your information is handled in Tanzania and may be accessed by partners in the countries on your itinerary. By contacting or booking with us, you understand that this is necessary to arrange your safari.

11. Updates to this policy

We may refresh this page when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date below will always show the latest version. Meaningful changes will be reflected here in clear language.
